A group of mayors have decided to throw out in the open their real colors. They expressed disenchantment for the Lakas-Kampi Party leadership both local and national. Well, at least, they have displayed their real colors. The candidate for governor Ed Chatto was probably prepared for this eventuality and has already selected their opponents in the coming elections. 

Still on the political news, Noynoy Aquino has regained his lead again against his closest rival Manny Villar. You see, this only indicates that in the presidential campaign, issues will decide the elections. Since Manny has all the money in the world to buy everything actors, actresses, politicians and media, despite all of these things, Aquino is still leading.

It is also sickening for vice-presidential candidate to promise food and education for the hungry and poor if elected. If his promises are followed, we will have a socialistic state in our country.

Food and education can only be solved by providing more educational opportunities for our people, handouts for food to poor people will not help. This is only a drop in the bucket. Let us be too realistic in what we promise to the people. Para lang tayong niloko, di man matupad yan pag manalo sila.

Strong earthquake struck Haiti on Wednesday morning

A strong earthquake struck Haiti on Wednesday morning , shaking buildings and sending screaming people running into the streets only eight days after the country's capital was devastated by a previous quake. The U.S. Geological Survey said the 6.1 magnitude quake hit at 6:03 a.m. about 35 miles northwest of the capital of Port-au-Prince. It struck at a depth of 13.7 miles but was located too far inland to generate any tidal waves in the Caribbean. Wails of terror rose Wednesday from frightened survivors of the apocalyptic quake that struck eight days ago as people as people poured out of unstable buildings. It wasn't immediately possible to ascertain what additional damage the new quake may have caused. Last week's magnitude-7.0 quake killed an estimated 200,000 people in Haiti, left 250,000 injured and made 1.5 million homeless. A massive international aid effort has been launched, but is struggling with overwhelming logistical problems.
