Eastern and Central Visayas and Mindanao will continue to experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the tail-end of a cold front, the state weather bureau said Wednesday.
Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the northeast monsoon continues to affect Luzon as Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with occasional light rains while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy with isolated brief light rains.
PAGASA said moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.
PAGASA also said strong to gale-force winds associated with the northeast monsoon may affect the seaboards of Northern Luzon and the eastern seaboard of Central and Southern Luzon.
"Fishing boats and other small seacraft are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves," it said.
Meanwhile, weather forecaster Alvin Pura said in a interview that cooler temperatures associated with the northeast monsoon will continue as the temperature in Metro Manila recorded 20.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday morning.
Pura said the temperature was recorded at the Science Garden, Quezon City around 6 a.m.
